Bloodlines (Songlines of Paterson) is both an anthropological project, and an artistic endeavor. Today, Paterson is a city of nomad refugees, like myself, seeking a living, and in living, making meaning out of journeys made to and from this city, which has survived in patches. Not unlike William Carlos Williams who struggled with finding a new language of poetry for this era, to describe the Brave New World, which was Paterson, I seek to find a new visual vocabulary. |
